Brittany M. B. Frost

M.S., Intern

I see adults, teens and primarily couples.  I am an empathetic therapist specializing in attachment-focused and trauma-informed approaches.I also have a clinical focus on sex therapy and intimacy. I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and teens navigate through their emotional and relational struggles related to everyday life. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and is deeply influenced by attachment theory and trauma-informed practices.

I believe in the power of collaboration and actively involve clients in the therapy planning process. Through personalized treatment plans, I seek to empower clients to develop life skills, strengthen emotional bonds, and achieve lasting positive change.

I am a counselor with a master's degree in mental health counseling and a certificate in sex therapy. I counsel with the perspective that who we are develops in part from the relationships and institutions we are a part of and that acknowledging the places and social spaces that form us helps us find our direction and make changes. Relationships are also sources of great support and deepest challenge for most of us. Understanding our relational patterns and pulls can lead us toward thoughtful responses rather than hurt and hurtful reactions toward those we care about. Human thriving requires connection, creativity, and compassion, including self-compassion.

My counseling approach is highly adaptable and tailored to meet each client’s unique perspective and situation. I draw from a range of therapeutic techniques, including EMDR, EFT, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, and Family Systems Therapy, among others. This comprehensive blend of techniques forms a cohesive and holistic approach to therapy, ensuring that each client receives the most effective and personalized treatment.

Connection, security, and empathy can promote healing. In relationship with ourselves and others, we grow and find new strength for living. Together, let’s work on a plan to help you live a better life.
