LPC, Doctoral Intern
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about enhancing the mental health and holistic development of children and adolescents in my community. I see each child and adolescent as a unique individual with strengths and challenges, and I am committed to providing high-quality, personalized care to help each client meet their goals.
I am currently seeing child and adolescent clients as a doctoral-level intern where I use a strength-based, person-centered approach to help children and adolescents work through developmental issues to reach their goals for personal growth. Some of these issues include self-esteem, identity development, relationships with peers and family members, adjustments such as moving or divorce, behavioral issues, school-related issues, grief, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I am trained in developmentally sensitive techniques such as Child-Centered Play Therapy and expressive arts interventions to meet each child and adolescent where they are at and help them in ways that are tailored to their developmental needs. With adolescents, I also have experience using talk therapy approaches such as motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, and CBT techniques.
